Authorization to Establish Commemorative Work in the District of Columbia

The National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation is allowed to establish commemorative work on Federal land in the District of Columbia.

Compliance standards will be held under the United States Code known as “Commemorative Works Act”.

Funds may NOT be used to pay for any expense of the establishment of the commemorative work.

If there is a remaining balance of funds, the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation shall transmit the balance to the Secretary of the Interior for deposit.

If there is an expiration of the authority and there remains a balance of funds then the National Medal of Honor Museum Foundation will transmit funds to the National Park Foundation for memorials. These funds will be available to the Secretary of the Interior or the Administrator of General Services.

Budget effects will comply with the Statutory Pay As You Go Act of 2010. “Budgetary Effects of PAYGO Legislation”
